Nancy and Mike Sneek Peak

On September 4th, I photographed Nancy and Mike's beautiful Wedding.  The Ceremony was at the North Madison Congregational Church and the Reception was at their lake front house.  Nancy and Mike did it right!  Their day was intimate, filled with love, and most of all fun.  Here are a few preview images to check out while I'm working on the rest.  There will be a wedding website and slide show posted soon.

Mario and Nikki Wedding Sneak Peek

Last weekend I photographed the wedding of my cousin Mario and Nicole!  There was a lot of concern about Hurricane Earl during the week leading up to their big day.  After a few prayers from Italian mothers, Earl decided that these we not the ladies he wanted to mess with.  We were able to take pictures outdoors and the ceremony and reception were amazing!  Congrats Mario and Nikki!  I can't wait to show the rest of the images.  I'll have a website and slideshow up in a few weeks.

Sam and Eli Wedding Sneak Peek

My first Destination Wedding was at a beautiful location in Southern Vermont.  Eli and Sam got married at the Hermitage Inn; a picture perfect small town Vermont paradise.  There was even a stocked fishing pond on the grounds.  Stay tuned for a wedding website with a slide-show of many more pictures.  There might even be a picture of Eli fly-fishing on his wedding day.  I also can't wait to show more pics from the dance floor.  There were dancers, young and old, tearing up the floor all night... and not everyone kept their shirt on!

Battle of Brimfield: Civil War Reenactment

More about the day:

Wow!... this was insane.  These guys totally transform into character for the weekend.  They eat, sleep, breathe, and sometimes die(fake dieing) Civil War reenactment.  Myself along with another photographer, Robert Arnold (www.battleofbrimfield.com) were the only two non-reenactors allowed on the battlefield (thanks Sue for the Press Pass!).  It was unbelievable!  I can't even describe the power of these cannons when they fire... the sound hits you with a thud to your chest.  The whole scene was crazy.  Guys(and gals dressed as men) were sword fighting and firing rifles, pistols, and cannon's non-stop.  There were cavalry units running all over the place.  Men dropping left and right...  and I stuck out like a sore thumb with this big camera, shorts and Keen sandals.  Next time I do this I'll find some Civil War gear and wear it so i fit in.  I'll wrap the big white lenses in with some burlap or something.

Besides being in the middle of a crazy civil war battle, my highlights of the day were teaching Christy some photography, eating the pig roast, and meeting Bob Arnold.  Bob has been a photographer for over 30 years and he's got a great passion for the art!  it was great dodging non-existent cannonballs on the battlefield, and then having lunch with him.
